My thoughts are scattered
leaves twisting in the sky.
I want to catch them
And press them down.
Lay a paper over them,
And trace, with a fat red crayon,
Their impression.
Then hang the colourful image,
With a shiny tack,
Against my white wall.

Wow. I love the crisp imagery and the clarity of simplicity.
Wonderful poem.

thanku dad :) I think it was a bit of my potentially (undiagnosed) ADD finding creative expression (scattered thoughts like leaves and what not)
Grace, are you writing more poetry again ... I remember the creative spurt you had a few years ago. Keep it up, great way to capture and express a moment and share it. Love Mom
